ONSITE - Virginia Beach, VA
DroneUp is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting team. The AP Clerk will work with suppliers to ensure open invoices are processed within due dates to keep their accounts in good standing. The AP Clerk will also work with the internal team to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to as well as provide reporting on significant outstanding payables as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Enter recurring paper and electronic invoices for payment into the accounting system
- Perform audits of invoices, resolve issues found by following company policies and procedures
- Print and mail checks to vendors
- Track automatic withdrawals and reconcile against payments entered
- Maintains files, records, logs, and lists
- Communicate with suppliers and employees regarding the status of invoices and payments
- Escalate urgent inquiries in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned
- 1 year accounts payable, finance, or accounting experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude to learn new applications quickly such as MS Office, Google Suite, and accounting software
- Ability to work efficiently while having strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
