Purpose
Responsible for University Housing and Dining (UHD) customer account billing and meal plan management, requiring the use of initiative, judgment, and coordination with internal and external entities. Will use various systems for the purpose of researching customer accounts, resolving billing issues, and processing accounting transactions.
Responsibilities
  • STUDENT ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT – Assist with processing student billing of housing, dining, related fees, and collections. Efficiently navigate between multiple systems to resolve complex billing issues from students, parents, staff, and other departments. Remain proficient in explaining housing and dining bills, as well as assisting in the maintenance of billing, rates, and associated processes for all UHD student housing options. Additional duties as assigned.
  • BEVO PAY / MEAL PLAN MANAGEMENT - Act as a customer point of contact for Bevo Pay and student account services. Process payments and refunds from various sources. Activate and maintain meal plans using DEFINE and CSGold. Reconcile and audit deposits for Dine In Dollars, Bevo Pay, and various stored value plans within the accounting systems.
  • EXTERNAL CUSTOMER BILLING – Assist with processing the billing for athletics, catering, events, conferences, and guest housing. Provide consistent, timely, and reliable responses to internal/external client inquiries via email or other methods of communication, regarding any questions, issues, or concerns related to UHD Accounts Receivable.
  • ACCOUNTING – Assist with processing *DEFINE vouchers including, but not limited to, interdepartmental transfers, deposits, payments, and corrections. Ensure all transactions are properly reconciled and coded before posting to the general ledger.
  • SUPPORT - Attend meetings and provide support for UHD Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Finance. Maintain documented procedures on related processes and assist with administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED and some college in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • 4 years of experience in Governmental or commercial accounting at a level comparable to that of an Accounting Clerk III
  • Fully skilled in the operation of a ten-key adding machine and calculator
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a university setting
  • 5 or more years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting
  • 2 or more years of customer service experience
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
Salary Range
$43,000 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift
  • Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM. Hours and days may vary depending on business needs.
