Sunbelt Rentals-the fastest growing rental business in North America-is seeking a Accounting Specialist. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform account reconciliation’s, monthly journal entries, assist with monthly close and other special projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be an important part of the monthly close process to make sure all asset related journal entries are posted and accounts reconciled. This person will also work on various projects documenting procedures and providing back up to management accounting assumptions.
- Monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Monthly journal entries
- Assist with answering questions from the Profit Centers
- Process asset related invoices, asset accruals, aging, and disposals
- Maintain accuracy of the Equipment Master file and Lot files
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College level Accounting courses or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of general accounting experience including journal entries)
- 2+ years of experience in this field
- Strong Excel, e-mail, journal entry, and general ledger skills (Experience with Access is a plus, but not required)
- Exposure to AS400 computer systems
- Ability to multi-task
