Accounting Specialist - City of Columbus Job at City of Columbus NE
The City of Columbus has a current job opening and is accepting applications for the position of a fulltime Accounting Specialist.
Pay Range is $23.93 – $32.31 per hour and offers a competitive benefit package.
This is highly responsible and specialized work in the maintenance of financial records and is paraprofessional accounting work in the maintenance, review, and reconciliation of financial records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles and standards. The work requires a knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping. Maintain and process payroll for all City Employees. Work is reviewed by technical superiors primarily through periodic audits and is evaluated in terms of adherence to established procedures and schedules.
Position requires a graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. Considerable experience in accounting support work with training in spreadsheets and word processing and experience with financial application software.
