Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting, financial control, and the overall financial health of the organization, which includes, managing the back-office operations, the organization’s internal budget and finances, providing oversight of investment opportunities, developing financial strategies, as well as leading a small administrative team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the finance and accounting functions.
  • Supervises and schedules staff in organization support operations.
  • Directs staffing decisions in the Finance Department.
  • Performs performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed (including 501c3 compliance as needed).
  • Ensures optimal financial operations within the company and its clients including all payables and receivables
  • Supervises the operation of the payroll department for accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly management and financial reporting for the company and its clients
  • Compiles fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested.
  • Participates in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for the company and its clients
  • Supports project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
  • Manages the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
  • Creates and monitors cost-analysis, budgets, projections, and forecasts as needed for the company and its clients
  • Ensures all department duties, responsibilities, and goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA designation highly preferred.
  • Five years of management experience in finance with a similar organization or with a major CPA firm.
  • 2+ years of experience leading small teams
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
