Accounting Generalist

General Summary:

The Accounting Generalist position is responsible for working directly with the CFO on all financial and operational aspects of the business. This position is heavy on data entry and account reconciliations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with A/R process - Invoicing Sales and Services, Apply Customer payments, work with CFO on Collections
• Assist with A/P process - match receivers with PO's, match with vendor bills, enter vendor bills and process weekly vendor payments
• Monitors/updates fixed asset listing
• Works closely with CFO to continuously improve processes in order to maximize cost and efficiencies (i.e., shipping, receiving, inventory, etc.)
• Other General accounting functions: back up for office supplies, etc.
• Prepare Job Cost Price Sheets for CFO review

Required Qualifications:

• 5-10 years General Bookkeeping experience
• Experience in accounting role in manufacturing company of comparable size
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Detailed Ledger experience - accounting areas, including, but not limited to accounts receivable (invoicing cash receipts/application), accounts payable (vouchers, payments and sales tax reporting), and inventory accounting
• Inventory experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
• Confidentiality is a must
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with maximization of costs and efficiencies
