Accounting Coordinator Job at Gaubert Oil Company
Job Summary
The Retail Accounting Coordinator will primarily be focused on the closing and reconciling each day for the applicable convenient stores. Retail balance sheet account reconciliations will be introduced over time based on experience. This position will be located in Thibodaux and will report to the VP of Operational Accounting.
Responsibilities
1. Code and review invoices for Gaubert Food Marts
2. Handle all aspects of AP for Gaubert Food Marts
3. Reconcile credit cards
4. Reconcile Gaubert Food Marts and Lucky Star sales taxes
5. Prepare journal entries (month end)
6. Write sundries for promotion for GFM (cigarette checks & ACH payments)
7. Prepare analytical reports for management
8. Prepare parish and state sales tax for all store locations
9. Prepare manufacturer coupons for reimbursement
10. Perform monthly bank recs
11. Maintain e-store with daily merges of financial information and posting of batches in GP
12. Research and solve billing discrepancies
13. Keep good communications with other personnel within the company in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience/Qualifications
· 3 years work experience needed
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to work under moderate supervision
· Efficient
· Attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
· Organizational skills a must
