Your Impact as Accounting Analyst:

To support the Accounting department in month-end and year-end closes as well as daily accounting functions. Accountant will be responsible for closing the month, journal entries, account reconciliation, preparation of work papers, maintenance of Fixed Assets system, and SOX documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily invoicing, accounts payable, cash application and other clerical activities as assigned to support general accounting department

Prepare various account reconciliations/schedules to support monthly financial statements as well as SOX documentation requirements and assisting in budget preparation. Show and explain detailed support for each account. Support the department by preparing journal entries and entering them in the system; allocate select expense accounts

Maintain fixed asset schedules by using Fixed Assets Software- monitor and update system for projects in progress, depreciation, asset addition and disposal, reconcile fixed asset details to the General Ledger. Assist in Annual fixed asset inventory.

Assist the Accounting Team during audits and budget process

Preparation of required daily reports. Obtain and understand support in preparing reports and distribute them to recipients. Prepare journal entries, daily orders and sales report, WIP, assist in annual physical inventory, reconcile accounts, work with cross functional teams

Requirements:

Associates/Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

2-5 years of experience in accounting with full understanding of general and financial accounting systems and accounting software

Knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, FASB. Strong interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge and experience with MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with robust worksheet preparation skills

Strong ability to review and analyze data.

Ability to disseminate large amounts of data and information to key points.

Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.

Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
