At Redpath, we continue to grow and our Consulting practice is looking for a full-time Accounting Advisory Manager to support our clients on technical accounting matters.

This is a newly created position and will report to the head of the consulting business unit. To best serve our clients, we are considering local greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area candidates only.


What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA (active/inactive) required
  • Minimum 3 years technical accounting experience including opening balance sheet work
  • Strong technical skills and current knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, technical writing, and research skills
  • Ability to write technical memos when necessary
  • Aptitude for facilitating a variety of approaches to complex issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Live in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area

How you will support our consulting clients:

  • Help our clients with complex accounting matters arising from business changes such as mergers and acquisitions, adoption of new accounting standards, accounting framework conversions, and on-call accounting advice, among others
  • Consult, collaborate with, and service client base to make recommendations on business and process improvements and serve as a business advisor to client
  • Manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectively while ensuring work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with Redpath directors and partners on proposals and business development calls
  • Collaborate within the practice and across functional service personnel to identify new opportunities with existing clients
  • Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements and manage to budget
  • Co-support audit teams with understanding and evaluating accounting policies related to new, significant, or complex accounting-related matters
