Accountant Restaurant and Entertainment

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience

Solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills are required. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles. Experience with Restaurant 365 software is a plus.

Requirement and duties:

• Experience in General Ledger, Balance Sheet, P&L, Reconciliations, Journal Entries
• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Reconciliation of DSRs daily.
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Managing the budget process
• Managing multiple insurance policies
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Support weekly, period, quarter, and year-end accounting close activities
• Analyze accounting results, investigate variances and document findings
• Work with business partners to obtain information supporting accounting records
• Help ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures
• Assist with external audits
• Provide support for budget and forecast preparation
• Perform other routine and non-routine functions as assigned by management
• Self-starter with willingness to work hands-on
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
• Customer service focused mentality with internal and external partners
• Excellent planning and organization skills

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of strong bookkeeping experience, working knowledge of Excel, preference given to candidates with restaurant experience.
