We are seeking an Accountant to perform a wide variety of accounting functions for the Department of Social Services, Finance Office in Pierre. This position will positively impact the lives of SD residents by assisting with accounting & financial services of programs that strengthen and support individuals and families.

Gain experience in and perform the following duties:

  • assisting in the year-end accrual process;
  • reconciliation of records;
  • prepare cash management reports;
  • review payments and financial documents;
  • track and monitor expenditures, including statistical information and analysis.
  • drawdown of General Funds.

Education/Licenses:

Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field is required, Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
