Minimum Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Minimum 2 years of transactional accounting experience using QuickBooks Online Software
  • Desire to learn new technologies/methods
  • Eager to follow established practices of Petal and to play a key role in improving them
  • Clear and concise communication – both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and technical skills
  • Experience with Cin7 Core(Dear Systems) or comparable ERP System

Responsibilities

· Perform tasks for all accounting functions, including payroll, account receivables/collections, expense processing, taxes, revenue recognition and reporting, financial statement prep, budgets

· Manage Inventory transactions and costing in Cin7 Core (Dear systems) including item list, sales orders, purchase orders, integration with Shopify, Amazon and Cart Rover and bill of materials as well as reporting, to provide data for product costing, inventory valuation and analysis

· Provide leadership needed to plan and grow profit efficiently, including developing budgets and providing accurate projections in support of business strategy

  • Responsible for all duties in the areas of accounting and finance
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with production costs and inventory valuation
  • Generate monthly reports that focus on the profitability of products related to manufacturing - costs, inventory, expenses, and future needs
  • Perform month-end close activities and issue financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare actual vs. plan (budget) analysis
  • Prepare various financial analysis related to production costs, inventory and expense information
  • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided
  • Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Ensure validity and accuracy of inventory through analysis and proper internal controls
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $109,113.00 - $116,875.00 per year
