Account Receivable / Account Payable Clerk Job at TekWissenGroup
Job purpose:
The AP/AR Clerk position is an on-site position that reports to the Finance manager. The AP/AR Clerk should have some familiarity with GAAP accounting policies, have 2-3 years of billing experience and work well within team environments. This role will take other responsibilities including: help with month-end close, GAAP financial reporting, daily GL/AP transactions, account reconciliations and ad hoc reporting. The AP/AR Clerk position supports the Accounting function and will require effective communication and interaction of each department within the company.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
- Prepare and support month-end close including data gathering, analysis, journals, reporting and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the day-to-day activities of AP, AR and Procurement.
- Cash management.
- Support tax filings by data gathering and preparing schedules.
- Assist in identifying potential process improvements.
- May perform other financial or special projects/analysis as required by business needs
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or better in accounting, finance or related field
- Three plus years of experience, manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems. Specific experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work efficiently and to consistently meet deadlines
- Comfortable working with cross functional groups with staff from all educational and professional backgrounds
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
