The 3PL Solutions Division provides end-to-end supply chain solutions for our customers across a variety of modes. This includes bulk trucking for both plastic resins and liquid chemicals, and dry-van, LTL, railcar, ocean and intermodal modes for freight of all kinds.

A&R Logistics is seeking a leader to manage and grow accounts for our customers, with a focus on the plastic resin and liquid chemicals space. The Director, Account Manager for 3PL Solutions will focus on managing and growing current accounts and will sell our portfolio of services into new and existing accounts. The Account Manager will work with Carrier Sales Representatives and Logistics Coordinators on the team to ensure customer needs are met. In performing this function there is also a responsibility to identify additional business opportunities with the customer, track the progress of each opportunity, negotiate rates with carriers and customers, and record non-conformance deviations to continuously identify and correct supply chain performance issues.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy selling, are achievement-oriented and believe in performance rewards for exceeding annual sales goals through strong collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is success-driven, fast-paced, and works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic and changing environment.

Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain and logistics operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Prospect for customers and sell A&R's 3PL solutions, field questions, and resolve customer issues.

Service new and existing accounts

Diligently and methodically work to acquire new customers and business in order to meet agreed-to revenue and margin goals

Research and analyze customer requirements to determine how A&R Logistics can best align itself as a true partner

Provide extraordinary customer service, leading to strong repeat business

Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal partners to achieve the best support and business solutions for customer accounts

Be proactive with each account on an ongoing basis, utilizing all tools and channels to maximize the purchasing and margin potential of each account.

Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to peers

Interpret sales data analytics and market insights to translate into actionable strategies and actions

Collate data, build reports, identify growth opportunities according to customer needs to provide quantifiable value

Requirements:

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's degree required

Previous sales experience, customer service experience and managerial experience required

Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills

Exceptional communication ability with both external and internal customers.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft WORD, OUTLOOK, and EXCEL

Must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties in an independent manner with minimal supervision

Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organization skills

Ability to travel 30% of the time.
