About the position:
  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
  • night shift (11pm-730am)
  • every weekend (Sunday 1st week, Saturday, 2nd week)
  • Shift differentials available! $3/hr for nights, $2/hr for weekends

Job Responsibilities:

Our ACSO's are the first point of contact with people entering the building. They're responsible for greeting and verifying the identities of staff, patients, and visitors. ACSO's also proactively monitor the environment and take the necessary steps to protect the needs of our community.
  • Supervise patients and visitors moving in and out of the facility.
  • Provide assistance to patients, visitors, contractors and staff entering the facility and verifying their identity and permissions to enter as needed.
  • Monitor calls to Security Services and dispatches staff to areas of need appropriately.
  • Detect potential threats and take action to deter potential emergency situations.
  • Assists in the control (often physical) of potentially violent individuals which requires strength, stamina, flexibility and critical thinking.
Works with potentially unexpected individuals requiring that teamwork and communication with other security officers.
Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.
Documents daily activities and safety incidents in report writing system.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Communicates in a respective manner.
Ensures a safe, secure environment.
Fulfills all interpersonal requirements.
Completes all required learning relevant to the role.
Develops a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

One year of customer service experience and the ability to pass a background check.
Previous hospital experience preferred.
