State of Iowa teaching license with K-12 ESOL endorsement required. We are searching for a dynamic, collaborative ESOL teacher to join our secondary team. Qualified applicants will be good collaborators, have a student's first philosophy, and be ready to roll with a quickly changing environment. Flexibility is a must.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
  • Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
  • Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
  • Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
  • Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
  • Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
  • Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
  • Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
  • Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrates effective implementation of the Iowa Teaching Standards.
  • Meets district standards as set forth in the Certified Staff Professional Growth Model Guidelines.
  • Perform all trainings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
