The HR Director – Certificated leads the recruiting efforts and handles grievances and performance issues for Certificated and Extra Duty staff.

Main Job Duties

• Leads the recruitment efforts for Certificated and Extra Duty vacancies (e.g. advertising vacancies, screening applicants, conducting interviews, making recommendations for hire, etc.) for the purpose of hiring highly qualified staff.
• Develops and grows programs to create a pipeline of certificated candidates (Grow your Own, Student Teachers, partnership with university and colleges including career fairs and recruiting events, etc.)
• Collaborates with building leaders and directors to fill exempt and extra duty positions in a timely manner
• Approves offer terms and extends offers to candidates
• Partners with administrators and supervisors to address grievances and performance issues for certificated and extra duty staff
• Acts as the acting compliance officer in the event the district compliance officer is unavailable

Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in job-related area
• Certificates and Licenses: Missouri Administrator’s Certification
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
• Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
• HR Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
