FULL TIME Inventory Control Assistant
Day Shift : 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday- Friday
PAY RANGE : $22 Per Hour
With a 6 month pay progression as follows:
Start at $22.00

  • 6 months $1.00 increase $23.00
  • 1 year .50 cent increase $23.50
  • 18 months .50 cent increase $24.00
  • 2 year $1.00 increase $25.00

Sign on Bonus

  • $300 after 30 days

Dura-Line is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to join our manufacturing plant in Sparks, NV to help coordinate activities using a computerized control system to track inventory, monitor processes and maintain accurate inventory control records. This individual will help conduct scheduled cycle counts on raw materials and finished goods to ensure inventory accuracy within a perpetual inventory system and assist the Inventory Control Specialist in monitoring inventory transactions occurring daily during standard manufacturing processes and makes applicable adjustments. You will also investigate inventory discrepancies and determines the root cause of inventory variances & draft reports and recommends options for aged or slow-moving materials.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily:

  • Satisfy COGI errors (inventory discrepancies) generated during system transactions
  • Resolves issues with recorded information on process control sheets to maintain accurate inventory balances
  • Reviews completed production orders to ensure accurate inventory movement before assigning orders as Technically Complete (TECO)
  • Maintains accurate inventory balances by reviewing stock levels against established levels or material demand
  • Performs inventory control cycle count operations as developed and defined by the company, including weekly Resin, Regrind & Additives (RRA) Cycle Counts, monthly finished goods and regular scheduled inventory counts on all other material groups while maintaining accurate cycle count records
  • Reviews on-hand inventory in all SAP storage locations to ensure accurate counts and inventory turns
  • Will assist with or perform all responsibilities of the Material Supply Planner within smaller manufacturing plants or as a backup in larger plants
  • Investigates all inventory inaccuracies and established appropriate corrective action plans
  • Initiates all documents for interplant material transfers, coordinates the transfer and performs the applicable inventory transaction
  • Monitors the return of all cable, wire and specialty materials back into raw material inventory after production order consumption
  • Reviews and tracks the material disposition of items returned through the return authorization and freight claim processes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an inventory control/management or supply chain role within a manufacturing company
  • Experience with lean principles and methodologies
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use pivot tables, V-Lookups and MS Office Products
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred
  • Familiar with an ISO Quality Management System

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while in a manufacturing plant and in inventory yards outside of a plant
